about urban pulse

Built where the work happens.

Construction runs on documents that carry money: quotes, contracts, variations, claims, reports. Almost all of them still travel by email, paper and hope. We are building the network that carries them properly.

why this exists

The enemy is the broken process

Not the builder, not the client, not the trade. The process. A variation emailed as a PDF, then a week of chasing. A finished job, then a month of waiting on an invoice somebody printed, signed, scanned and lost. The people are doing their jobs. The paperwork is not doing its job. That is the thing we set out to fix, one document at a time.

how we work

One network, end to end

Find a site and see what the council will allow before you commit. Take the approval through planning. Put the work to a verified trade network and compare real bids. Send the contract, get it signed, and keep every document, variation and decision attached to the project it belongs to, so the record builds itself as the job runs, instead of being reconstructed afterwards.

who is behind it

A founder who uses it on real jobs

Urban Pulse was founded by Mike Burford, who also owns AusDilaps, an independent dilapidation reporting business. That matters for one reason: the documents on this network are not demo data. Condition reports on the properties adjoining and surrounding construction works, captured before and after the job, are branded, sent, signed and paid through Urban Pulse every week, on real jobs, for real clients. The product gets built, then it gets used the same week, and what does not hold up on a real job gets fixed.

Urban Pulse Strategies Pty Ltd is an Australian company, ABN 82 650 700 226, based in Queensland.
