Urban Pulse Referral Program Terms

Last updated: 1 September 2026 Version: 1.1 Effective from: 1 September 2026

Plain English: Bring another builder, trade or developer across to Urban Pulse and, once they start paying, you earn 25% of what they pay Urban Pulse for twelve months from their first paid invoice. It is one rate for everyone, with nothing to climb. The reward is applied as credit against your own Urban Pulse account, so what you see is a smaller next invoice rather than a payment to you: there is no cash-out, no bank transfer and no withdrawal. These are the program rules referred to in our Terms of Service (section 3.4). A referral reward is a marketing incentive for introducing a member. It is not an affiliate scheme and it is not a financial product. Where a plain-English note summarises a rule, the numbered clause governs if the two differ.

1. Who can join

1.1 You can earn referral rewards if you are an Urban Pulse member on a paid plan. Sharing your link is free and open to any member; earning a reward requires you to be on, and to stay on, a paid plan.

1.2 The reward is for members of the network introducing other people in the trade. It is not a paid-affiliate or coupon-arbitrage scheme. We do not pay coupon sites, content publishers, ad-arbitrage pages, or anyone buying sign-ups off-platform. Only share your link with people who know you and would want to hear from you. Do not send bulk or unsolicited messages, which breach the Spam Act 2003 (Cth) and these rules.

2. What counts as a referral

2.1 A referral counts when a genuinely new customer, who was not already an Urban Pulse customer, signs up through your referral link or by entering your code, and then starts a paid plan.

2.2 One referrer per member, first link wins. If more than one person shares a link with the same new member, the reward goes to the first link that member used.

2.3 You cannot refer yourself, your own organisation, or an organisation you control or are connected to. Referrals that fail our anti-abuse checks (see section 8) do not earn a reward.

3. What you earn

3.1 You earn 25% of what a member you referred pays Urban Pulse, for twelve months from their first paid invoice. There is a single rate for every referral and for every member: no tiers, no rate that steps down after a set number of referrals, and no separate founding-member rate.

3.2 The reward begins at the referred member's first paid invoice. It does not begin when they sign up and it does not begin when they create an account. If they join and stay on a free plan, nothing is earned; if they take a paid plan later, your twelve months starts at that first paid invoice and runs from there.

3.3 You earn each time the member you referred is billed for their subscription inside those twelve months, and only while both you and that member are on active paid plans.

3.4 The reward is calculated on the subscription amount the referred member actually pays, excluding any taxes, and is recorded in your account in Australian dollars.

4. How the reward is applied

4.1 Rewards are applied as Urban Pulse account credit against your own account, and they reduce your next invoice. Urban Pulse does not pay referral rewards in cash and does not transfer them to a bank account. There is nothing to set up and nothing to claim: when you earn, it lands on your account.

4.2 The reward is personal to you and is credited only to your own account. We do not credit a reward to a third-party or shared account.

5. The cap

5.1 One referrer may earn no more than A$25,000 in credit in a calendar year. Almost no genuine referrer reaches it; it exists as a backstop against organised abuse and to keep the program clearly a marketing incentive rather than an income stream. We may review the ceiling and will give notice of any change. The ceiling in force when a referral converts applies to that referral.

6. Reversal

6.1 If the payment that triggered a reward is refunded, reversed or charged back within 90 days, the reward is reversed with it and the credit comes back off your account. Nothing else is deducted, and nothing is charged to you.

6.2 We may also withhold or reverse a reward we can show is not genuine (for example fraud, or a breach of these rules), under section 8.

7. Staying eligible

7.1 You continue to earn while your own account is on a paid plan. If you move off a paid plan, new reward stops.

7.2 A reward you have already earned is yours, subject only to the reversal in section 6 and the anti-abuse checks in section 8. Leaving does not forfeit credit you have already earned.

8. Keeping it fair (anti-abuse)

8.1 We run checks for self-referral, connected entities, duplicate or artificial sign-ups, and unusual patterns, for example many sign-ups sharing the same device, network address, or payment method. Where a pattern needs review, we may hold a reward while we check it, rather than apply the credit and reverse it later.

8.2 We may withhold or reverse a reward, and remove a member from the program, for referrals that are not genuine, that breach these rules, or that involve off-platform paid promotion.

9. Your reward is personal

9.1 Referral rewards are personal to you. They cannot be transferred, assigned, sold, or pooled with anyone else. There is no secondary market in referral rewards.

10. Tax

10.1 A referral reward may be assessable income to you, even though it is applied as account credit rather than paid to you. You are responsible for your own tax, and we recommend you get your own advice.

10.2 If you are registered for GST, GST may apply to your reward, and we will account for it correctly.

11. How we describe it

11.1 We describe the program as a reward for introducing a member. It is not marketed as a yield, a guaranteed return, or passive income, and we ask that you do not describe it that way either when you share it.

12. Not a financial product

12.1 A referral reward is a marketing incentive and an account benefit for introducing a member. It is not an affiliate scheme and it is not a financial product. It does not give you an interest in a scheme, a right to a return on an investment, or a stored-value or payment facility, and it cannot be taken out as money. Urban Pulse holds no money on your behalf and moves none on your behalf.

13. Changes to the program

13.1 We may change, pause, or end the program, or change these rules, on reasonable notice. Changes apply to referrals made after the change takes effect. A reward you have already earned is not affected.

14. Contact

14.1 This program is run by Urban Pulse Strategies Pty Ltd (ABN 82 650 700 226), trading as Urban Pulse. These rules sit under, and should be read with, our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy; the governing-law, variation, dispute-resolution and Australian Consumer Law provisions of our Terms of Service apply to them. Questions about the program: support@urbanpulse.com.au.

15. Changes to these rules

Version 1.1 (effective 1 September 2026) aligns these rules with the referral program as it operates, and takes effect on publication:
